Jalapeno and Cheese Rissoles


Crumbed Portuguese turnovers with a sensational Jalapeno and creamy cheddar cheese filling. These delicious deep-fried turnovers are perfect for buffets and functions. It’s a fan favourite and our best seller at Foodmakers

Defrost overnight in the refrigerator and deep fry at 170°C for ± 2 minutes or until golden brown.


Plating into a bain-marie

  1. A bain-marie

  2. Foodmakers Jalapeno and cheese rissoles

  3. Garnishes of your choice, we recommend using cherry tomatoes, lettuce, baby spinach, carrots etc.



  1. Make sure your bain-marie is clean, you may keep your burner on to keep the rissole warm.

  2. Place lettuce or baby spinach at the base of your chafing dish

  3. Place the rissoles in a line parallel to each other until you have filled the bain-marie

  4. Optional extra: you can now fill in any open spaces with cherry tomatoes or carrots

  5. Place the bain-marie into serving area for your guests to enjoy
